April 28-29, Hebrew Chant & Sh’ma Yoga Festival. Join us for an uplifting weekend with renowned Hebrew Chant Artists: Yofiyah, and Rabbi Sigal Brier. Take a class in Sh’ma Yoga with Rabbi Brier on Shabbat morning from 9-10 am at Temple Hillel B’nai Torah in West Roxbury, then stay for a special chanting Shabbat morning service. From 2-5 pm, Congregation Beth El in Sudbury will host a 3-hour Sh’ma Yoga Experience led by Rabbi Sigal and Yofiyah. This program will also be offered at Temple Israel of Natick on Sunday from 9:00 am – 12 noon. There will be a soul-stirring Kabbalah Kirtan Concert with Yofiyah and the Kol Libeinu Band on Saturday night from 7:30 – 9:30 pm., followed by a wine reception at the Vilna Shul, 18 Phillips Street in Boston. Dance Friday is a place to dance barefoot, however you like, with or without a partner, to all kinds of music, in a smoke-free and alcohol-free space. This month’s event will lead off with an energizing and danceable performance from the Kol Libeinu Hebrew Kirtan Band, from 8:00 to 9:15, followed by free-style dancing until 11 pm.
